First and foremost, thank you for considering our unique little film festival located here in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
 
Thriller! Chiller! was established in 2006 as a way for us to discover and celebrate the kinds of films we were inspired most by as kids: The genre movie!  Movies that kept us up nights with thrills and chills, developing our fascination and admiration for the craft of film making. Movies that influence the films we make today.
 
Thriller! Chiller! wants to show our community the love, the excitement and the adventure of a movie not confined by a studios need to homogenize content for the sake of the first weekend gross. Thriller! Chiller! searches for true independent spirit and vision in film making. The kind that existed before it was repackaged as a "brand" and then sold back to us all as "cool."
 
We screen movies with their own voice and identity. However, this does not simply mean we accept just any reinterpretation of the latest trends in cinema or a reimagining of the worst kind of genre bender Hollywood wouldn't dare remake. We want a story!  We want to hear and be able to see what you are telling us with your film.  Substance and style is the key to playing at Thriller! Chiller!

We want to discover those film makers who are inspired to tell us a story.
